“Quite some time ago I was lucky enough to live in England for a year or so. I remember this beautiful English summer day when my dear pommy friend CJ and I were lying on the grass in her parents back garden, just chatting away. She turned to me and said "You must love this" "What?" I said. "Being able to lie on the grass without worrying about all the insects and spiders like you have back home". I laughed... I guess growing up with it I never really noticed, but it seems Australia, and spiders in particular have a pretty bad reputation. Recently it got me thinking, maybe spiders aren't that bad, maybe they are just always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like the spider in the 'little miss muffet' nursery rhyme for instance, I am sure he didn't mean to frighten her away, he probably doesn't even know what a 'tuffet' is let alone that he shouldn't sit on one when there's a little miss also sat upon it... he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time!”
